This page is to give you an idea of who I am. What I've done, what I do and what I would like to be doing as well as why I am who I am and where and when I started realizing, who I am and what I should be doing. What I want to tell you here is that we all are free (to some extent) to be what we want and do what we do best. Why are we where we are when we are who we are when we are what we need? So we can learn from each other where and when we are aware of when we are able to understand what we are doing to learn from. How is up to you as an individual. Be creative! |
Know yourself,Know what you want,Know why you want it,Know where to get it,Know when to stop. |

Goals |
My main goal is to achieve a position, which will offer me the freedom I need to be as creative as possible. I would really like to find a job in graphic design. Since I graduated as a landscape designer, a combination with landscape architecture would be the best. |
Credit![]() |
Credit is something we earn that motivates us to continue our work. Besides something we can earn it is also something we can give. Giving people credit for their work is easier than we are lead to believe. It doesn't always mean a pat on the back or a thank you after the work is finished. The best kind of credit it the kind you get during and long after your work is completed. I find it more rewarding to see and know people enjoying work in progress. Is it great when for example you throw a party to see people enjoying themselves while the party is going on, rather than a thank you at the end. Life is to short to neglect, when at your death bed you finally realize it was not so bad after all. The sooner we all find out how much fun we are having or how much progress we are making, the sooner we can use it to power up ourselves. Our lives work will never be finished, there's always something to do, change or add to our work. Therefore I never consider relating to work as a finished product. I my case it's always a rough draft of results I would like to see develop into environments that will flexibly encourage use of space in a new and refreshing way. |
California |
I was born in Orange, California. My parents lived in Laguna Beach where my dad had a photographic studio. It wasn't long before they decided to hit the road. We travelled the western states until my brother was born in 1980. Shortly there after we settled down in a beautiful mountain town called Idyllwild, where we lived until 1986 when we moved to Holland. I moved back to California with my dad when I was 15, to start my life as a freethinking individual. Except now I had to deal with the responsibility of taking care of myself, enrolling in school and getting a job. This turned out to be a great opportunity, which I gladly received. School was cool. I went to Redlands High where I made lots of friends. I was awarded with 3 scholarships for outstanding academic achievement in Math and Industrial technology. I graduated 6 months before my class in 1996. After the tragic death of my father on the day of my graduation I decided it was best to move back to the Netherlands. |
Europe![]() |
I have lived in the Netherlands for 14 years. My mom is half Dutch and half Swiss. I have been working in gardens since I was 12 which kept me going, but it still couldn't match up to the space I was used to in the Californian Sierras. So I saved up my money to move back to California with my dad. I moved back to Holland in 1996 where I reunited with my mom and brothers. I soon found a job working for the Kunstpassage in Den Haag. I knew it wasn't a long-term thing, so I started looking for a college where I could continue my studies. This led me to Larenstein where I've studied Landscape architecture till June 2003. I graduated with honor and a prestigious plan for the Netherlands in 2100. Titled NL2100. |
Past |
Ever since I was a kid I became more and more graphics oriented, since I was always moving I latched on to universal languages. I started expressing myself in art and drawings until I learned Dutch. Then in Junior-High (HAVO) French class made me realized I wasn't the language type. Art, Graphics and Design became my calling. I excelled in drawing, math and earth science. I took extra courses in Drafting, Plane Geometry and Computer graphics to start off my design career. My other true passion is gardening. My father was a gardener and planting expert. He tought me a lot about nature and made me realize how important nature is for people. I have 14 years of gardening experience and found that my design abillities are strongly enhanced by this experience. This has also been a way for me to express myself and one of the main reasons to study landscape architecture at Larenstein. When I started Larenstein in 1997 I discovered a student union called Arboricultura, where I could help out other students as well as develop my own ambitions and hobbies. I met a lot of my friends here and ended up spending my second year of college as a student representative for the union. I was pronounced "Public-Relations Commissioner" of 2000. This is when I really got into graphic design. Part of my task was to promote the student union and it's activities, as well as representing students and managing 5 commissions. |

Future |
Although I'm starting a business and have a really sweet girlfriend here in Holland, I still want to move back to California to get more direct experience in Landscape Design. Even though I prefer working with a project-based schedule, I want to be flexible and open for any job opportunity or project that may arise. ... meanwhile I'm looking for projects and free-lance work in the field of graphic design and / or recreational landscape architecture ... If you have any suggestions please mail me at noah7ty7@hotmail.com |
